Hey there!
I'm Jan Chris Tacbianan and welcome to the JTacbianan.dev website, or as I'd like to call it, Jan.ToString() since this serves to be my written or typed up expression of my ideas! This is my personal website, blog, and showcase for my many projects and ventures.
A little about myself:
- I am a software engineer and architect that loves planning, designing, and building software solutions.
- I love tinkering with technology. I have and maintain a home lab that I like calling my mini datacenter. I've also always enjoyed building PCs (before hardware prices skyrocketed...)
- I also have been getting into content creation, photography, and cinematography. I wouldn't say I'm a professional by any stretch of the imagination, but I certainly enjoy playing around with my content creation toys.
- I would consider myself an anime fan, though I have been finding it hard to find time to binge watch a show lately. I enjoy taking short trips around the country attending various anime, comic, and fandom events. More details on this particular hobby can be found on my Anicon Reviews and Anicon Network projects.
Educational Background
I went to the New Jersey Institute Technology for both my undergraduate and graduate education. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Information Systems. I then earned my Master of Science degree in Computer Science. My primary focus in my education has been in software architecture. In addition to my degrees, I have always enjoyed teaching and mentoring others. During my time at NJIT, I have also worked as a teaching assistant and a student peer advisor.
I also hold certifications for the Okta Workforce Identity Cloud. I have the Okta Certified Consultant, Administrator, and Professional certifications.
Other Stuff
This page will probably grow as I think of more things to put on it, but I would suggest exploring what else my website has to offer. You'll probably get a better idea of who I am through my posts, projects, and other content.
